Khlolander is a very small family kennel in Swindon, Wiltshire. All my Bullies live in doors with me and are spoilt rotten.
I got my first Bull Terrier in 1997 from Mandy and John Young. He was brought as a pet but I took him to a couple of Exception Shows, now known as Companion Shows where he did quiet well. I enjoyed my myself so much and meet so many lovely people that I wanted to get more involved in this world of showing. (You know that feeling, bitten by the show bug). I took Rom’s to a couple of Breed Club shows but he didn’t do very well, so I decided to go out and get another bully, hoping that she would do a little better. I then got Saskia from Julie Wass. Saskia is a lovely red girl but she hates being around other dogs when she was on the lead, so needless to say showing was not for her. I then got myself a lovely boy from the Pat Cookson but he didn’t like showing either, he just wanted to play with all the other dogs, so I decided to find a loving fire side home for him and now he is living the life of riley. I decided that I needed to learn more about Bullies and what I was looking for, so I then spent a few years going to lots of shows and learning more about Bullies and talking to a lot of the top breeders, like Chris Kilpatrick, Linda and Danny McGregor, Quita Youatt and Phil McCombie, to name a few, to learn as much as I could before I embarked on another puppy. I had seen a bitch called ‘Ch. Granacks Echo’s of Dawn’ and thought she was lovely so I asked her owners Helen and Tony Roache when they were going to breed her and would the put my name down for a puppy. They used ‘Ch. Javarke Jack Flash’ who I also really liked as well. To me it was the perfect match. As I have always liked the Credetta lines and the Majico lines. When the litter was 8 weeks old I went to see them and brought home Ellie, known as ‘Ch. Helizar Lady Luck at Khlolander’
